development of the breaking news we brought you at 5:00 -- police are on the scene of the shooting near gallaudet university. let's go live there for the latest. >> this is actually directly in front of gallaudet university, directly across from the main entrance. there are a lot of police on the scene. the police chief just gave us an update. it was about 4:00 when witnesses reported hearing between five and seven gunshots. police cordoned off a dozen blocks and they found that 18- year-old an alleyway, suffering from gunshot wounds. neighbors say he just turned 81 months ago spoke with us a few moments ago and as far as a motive, she says that's being investigated. when it comes to searching for suspects, she has a very little. >> this is a busy time of afternoon. the broad daylight. anybody you may have seen
